Halstatt Appoints Robert Thomas to Board of Directors

Naples, Fla. – May 6, 2026 – Halstatt, a family-owned investment firm headquartered in Naples, Fla., is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Thomas to its Board of Directors. In this role, Thomas will provide strategic guidance to the firm, drawing on his extensive background in managing complex portfolios and institutional capital.

Thomas currently serves as chief investment officer of WestRiver Group, where he oversees the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio. Prior to this role, he spent 15 years as chief investment officer for the George Kaiser Family Foundation, where he was responsible for the financial administration and management of its $5 billion investment portfolio. Earlier in his career, Thomas spent a decade with the Bill Gates Investment Office, ultimately overseeing all externally managed fund relationships.

In addition to his professional experience, Thomas is actively engaged in academic and civic organizations. He serves on the board of advisors for the Financial Economics Institute at Claremont McKenna College and is a trustee of The University of Tulsa. He is also president of the Board of Directors of Undercroft Montessori School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and serves as chairman of the Board for City Year Tulsa. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College.
